However, all one night accommodations are charged a $10 service fee. All rates are based on double occupancy. An additional fee of $20 per person applies to additional guests sharing the accommodations. To confirm reservations we require a deposit in the amount of the first night's rent, plus 7% tax. The Maine State Ferry Service Catch the Maine State Ferry to Vinalhaven. The terminal is located Route 1 in Rockland. Relax and enjoy the scenic one-hour-and-twenty-minute ride. View from the bend of Main Street How to find us: From the VH Ferry terminal parking lot turn right onto West Main Street, which becomes Main St. Enjoy your 15 minute,(1/2 mile) harborside walk through Town. As Main Street curves to the left you will see Payne Homestead in front of you, set back on Atlantic Avenue. Follow our sidewalk from Main Street, across Atlantic Ave, to our front door. If you have chosen to bring a vehicle over, take the first right AFTER the bend, which is School St. Take another right at the Stop sign (Atlantic Ave,although there is no street sign here) and an immediate left into our parking lot.
